Urban Operations or UO is the term the military uses to describe
operations in an urban enviroment - such as a large town or city. This
type of warfare was typical of many of the engagements in the Iraq War
(Operation Iraqi Freedom or OIF) from 2003 to 2001. The term Urban
Operations replaced the term
Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT).
